About MAXIMILLIAN GALLERY

MAXIMILLIAN GALLERY makes connections between those desiring meaningful, cutting edge art – collectors – and emerging, contemporary artists and street artists. MAXIMILLIAN GALLERY represents artists including painters, sculptors, photographers, and illustrators, with new artists being added regularly.

About The Founder

Maximillian Gallery was founded by Caradoc. In addition to being a passionate art collector and patron, Caradoc has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing, including licensing, producing, product placement, Internet marketing and consumer products.

Prior to launching MAXIMILLIAN GALLERY, Caradoc worked for the Fortune 500 company Avery Dennison as head of new revenue models, where among other accomplishments he created an exclusive worldwide alliance with Getty Images’ iStockphoto that placed iStockphoto offers into fifteen million Avery products. Previously he worked at Commission Junction, providing some of the world’s best-known brands with search engine marketing strategy. Caradoc has also been a producer of films and albums and created the successful board game Vino! The Exciting Game of Wine, sold at Neiman Marcus among other fine stores. As vice president of new product development at Simon Marketing, the company responsible for McDonald’s promotions such as Happy Meals, Caradoc gained a deep knowledge of large-scale promotions and marketing.

All his life, Caradoc has been an art enthusiast, based on his having been raised by artist parents and living both in France and the United States, a circumstance that allowed him to train his keen eye for art with nearly weekly visits to the Louvre as well as to galleries in Paris, New York and Los Angeles. In LA, Caradoc’s grandmother founded one of the most successful and important fine art galleries, the Esther Robles Gallery, representing top artists of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s and whose archives are housed at the Smithsonian Institution’s Archives of American Art.

You could say art and business are uniquely combined in Caradoc’s DNA: he also holds an MBA from HEC, France’s top business school. Blending art and business made perfect sense, and MAXIMILLIAN GALLERY was born. Caradoc says, “my passion lies in working with new and existing collectors to help them discover and collect the best emerging art often available at affordable prices, and the artists who create this work. Nothing should stop collectors from acquiring work from today’s best emerging artists.”

Providing services that draw from founder Caradoc’s lifetime of experience in emerging and contemporary art in the United States and internationally, MAXIMILLIAN GALLERY is devoted to bringing cutting-edge art to a new audience. Art Licensing services are also available for many of the talented artists the gallery works with.
