Mary Lynn Rajskub has established herself as a versatile and dynamic actress/writer/
performer through impressive television and film roles, as well as stand-out live performances.
Her continuing, fan-favorite role as computer genius Chloe O’Brian in FOX’s smash hit “24″
helped earn the show a 2006 Emmy win for Best Drama, a 2006 and 2005 SAG nomination for
Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. The hugely successful show which
never ceases to deliver is currently in production on its 8th and final season and premiered in
January.
Mary Lynn was most recently seen in the critically acclaimed “Julie & Julia” which opened August 2009. The film also stars Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. Mary Lynn played Helen, the best friend to Adam’s character Julie, a government employee who decides to cook her way through legendary cook Julia Child’s classic cookbook, “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” in one year’s time. She was also seen opposite Amy Adams on the big screen in “Sunshine Cleaning,” directed by Christine Jeffs. Amy Adams and Emily Blunt play sisters who find the meaning of life when they team up to run a service cleaning up after crime scenes and traumas.
Previosly, Mary Lynn was seen starring as Peggy Orbison in the independent comedy “American Fork,” which premiered at Slamdance as well as the Academy Award winning “Little Miss Sunshine”.
Mary Lynn’s film roster includes “Firewall,” opposite Harrison Ford, “Legally Blonde II: Red, White, and Blonde,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Punch Drunk Love,” “Mysterious Skin,” “Dude, Where’s My Car,” “Storytelling,” and “Road Trip.”
After arriving in Los Angeles, Mary Lynn was cast on David Cross and Bob Odenkirk’s HBO critically acclaimed sketch comedy series, “Mr. Show with Bob and David.” Quickly thereafter, she switched to the network’s “The Larry Sanders Show.” Mary Lynn followed up this work with appearances on “The Army Show” for The WB and “The Downer Channel,” a Steve Martin produced sketch series for NBC. Her episodic work includes “King of Queen,” “News Radio,” “Veronica’s Closet,” and “Good Morning Miami.” She also starred in CBS’ remake of HELTER SKELTER.
Rajskub went to art school for painting but discovered performing arts. After her first one-woman show, she received a review saying her performance was “one of the strangest and funniest performances I have ever seen.” From that moment, she began honing her skills as a comedian and dramatic actress. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
